Privacy policy

This policy explains what information MathCrap (operated by cuteenglishteacher LLC) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: this site itself collects almost nothing, and the information you give us when you book a session is used only to run that session.

What this website collects

mathcrap.com is a static site hosted by Cloudflare. It has no accounts, no login, no contact forms, and no advertising or analytics scripts. Cloudflare, like any web host, keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time of request) for security and performance; we don't use those logs to identify you. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends a request to Google when the page opens. Downloading the cheat sheet does not require an email address and we don't record who downloads it.

What we collect when you book a session

Booking runs through Google Calendar's appointment scheduling. When you book, Google asks for your name and email address, and may ask for a phone number or a note. That information is shared with us so we can confirm the session, send the video-call link, and follow up. If a parent books for a student, we receive the parent's contact information and the student's first name. We use this information only to schedule and deliver tutoring, send session-related messages, and handle payment. We do not sell it, rent it, or use it for marketing lists.

Payment

Payment is handled outside this website through the method we agree on at booking. We never see or store full card numbers on this site.

Videos and comments

Our videos live on TikTok and YouTube. Anything you post there (comments, likes, follows) is governed by those platforms' privacy policies, not this one. We may reply to comments and may feature a question from a comment in a future video without your name.

Children

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should book on your behalf. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information directly, email us and we'll delete it.

How long we keep information

Booking details stay in our Google Calendar and email until they're no longer needed to run or account for sessions, generally no longer than the current and prior tax year, after which they're deleted in the ordinary course.

Your choices

• You can email us at any time to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you or your student.
• You can cancel a booking through the link in your confirmation email.
• You can use the cheat sheet and watch the videos without giving us any information at all.

Third parties we rely on

Cloudflare (hosting), Google (fonts, booking calendar, email), TikTok and YouTube (video). Each has its own privacy policy. We don't share your information with anyone else except as required by law.

Changes

We'll update the date at the top when this policy changes. Material changes will be noted on the site.
